MedIT is a comprehensive package that includes various modules, which cater to different functional areas of healthcare institutions. MedIT offers you the flexibility to choose and implement only those modules, which are required for your institution
Service Management
The system provides facilities for organizing the hospital into various Business Centers as per its business model. The hospital services can be organized under these business centers. This assists the hospital to effectively provide offerings according to market needs and also assess the efficiency of the departments from the market point of view. A salient feature in this regard is that the list of consumable for a specific service can be defined so that the system manages the list automatically for stock-outs, etc. This would help to prevent pilferage to a large extent. This facility also provides facilities to add insurance providers and to create separate rates for each provider for various services.
Patient registration & Patient Encounters
In registration module demographic details are captured. Patient encounter records specific problem to which the patient seek medical advice. This facility assists the doctors in gaining an insight into patient's previous complaints and his/her response to treatments. Patient encounter also records details like, referral doctor, consulting doctor etc
Patient Appointments
Efficiently handles providers appointment scheduling, Patient scheduling with daily, weekly calendar and multiple practitioner views Capable of Defining your clinic's appointment hours, blocking schedules or repeat appointments, rescheduling booked appointments and book multiple appointments. Tracks patient demography information
Billing & Cash Collections
This module covers the complete billing function, which is integrated with every service-providing module. Daily cash collection from OP and IP are captured. Automatic final bill generation for In-patients based on the advance collection and interim bills raised for that patient. This module also facilitates to collect credit bill payment
In - Patient Management
This module handles Admission, Discharge & Transfer. While registering In-Patients consulting doctor, Admitting doctor, Admission date, Admission Time, Case and Room information are captured. Bed transfer details and Discharge details are also captured. Visitor enquiry is possible based on Name, Sex, City Admission date etc. Medico Legal cases can be identified separately.
Laboratory Management
This facility automates the processing requirements of clinical laboratories, provides superior reporting and allows you to manage laboratory revenue. Features include, Test ordering, Specimen registration, specimen tracking, Result entry with ready reference ranges & integrated inventory management.
Electronic Medical Records
This module provides a drill down facility to enable the user to browse the medical records of the patient from the list of complaints for which the patient has been treated. The module maintains a complete record of all data regarding medical services availed by the patient and the treatment undergone by the patient. This facility would prove ideal to understand the medical background of a patient and the various advantages and shortcomings of the patient from a medical point of view. The module provides a broad view of the various illnesses that have infected the patient over time and enable to drill down to the treatments received f or the illnesses and the visits across which these treatments have been received. This includes the prescriptions, tests and other procedures, and progress of the patient through the treatment period.

Physician Practice Management
The doctors and consultants are main stakeholders in a healthcare operation and it is imperative to maintain their satisfaction to ensure good customer care. The physician practice management module seeks to address the information needs of the consultant physicians as well as the doctors employed by the organization. The module enables the doctors to manage their consultation timings, and duration as well as manage their schedules. The patient record management module works together with this module to help the physicians keep track of the patient's progress and their health status.
Materials Management (Central Stores Department)
This module deals with Hospital Equipment/Material/Inventory Purchase and Supply to different Departments. Requisitions for different items/equipment are sent to this store from different departments and accordingly the items/equipment are issued to various departments. The main functions are Purchase management (Supplier's Offer Entry, Purchase Indent, Purchase Order etc) Inventory Management (viz. Opening stock entry
Pharmacy Management
The Pharmacy Module deals with the maintenance of drugs and consumables in the hospital. The functions of this module include inventory management of drugs, consumables and sutures. This module optionally handles the billing of drugs, consumables and sutures, if required. The Pharmacy module ensures that there is a round the clock availability of a sufficient quantity of drugs and consumable material f or the patients in a mode that neither hinders efficient clinical work, nor it becomes a threat to the survival of the Pharmacy.
Personnel & Payroll Management
This module deals with personnel (employees/designation/department etc) and payroll (scale of pay, allowances, statutory contribution, etc) functions with customized reports.
Finance & Accounts Management
This module assists in performing the routine financial management functions such as cash and credit handling, receivables management, etc. It provides various financial books such as ledger, Bank book, Cash book, and also Sales and Purchase registers. The mandatory reports such as the Trial Balance, Balance Sheet, and Profit and Loss Statement are also available.
Decision Support System
This module works at the heart of the entire system and culls information out of all the different modules to present a transparent view of the operations of the organization. The Decision support system consists of a variety of reports that range from the routine status reporting to multi-dimensional analysis of the operations using detailed cross-tabulations between various operational data
